Native animals Summer Learning Journey Week 4 Day 18
This bird is a Kakapo. Also called owl parrot. This bird lives in forests, shrubland and tussock grassland. They are herbivorous. They eat seeds, plants, fruits, pollen etc.
This bird is a kiwi. They live in scrubs and rough farmland. They eat seeds, grubs and many varieties of worms. They also eat small crayfish, eels and amphibians.
