The ANZAC Biscuite

WALT: Making conclusions from text
SC: Make conclusions about why Grandad was funny about Anzac Day

The Anzac Biscuit by Jack Lasenby

  1. Grandad wore his medals on the left side. Why is that? What does it mean if you wear them on the right side? it means truth and bravery.
  2. Why do you think Grandad wished people would mind their own business? because when people ask he got the bad memories.
  3. Why do you think Grandad thought the ANZAC biscuit was the best thing to come out of the war? because it made him laugh.
  4. Do you agree? Why/why not?yes because it says in the text and I can feel what the writer can feel if it was me

Bravery is when someone is not scared of anything and I did a moon sun and lithging bolt because moon stand for he  fought in he the night sun is he fought in day time and lighting bolt is he is brave like a lightning bolt.

Going to MOATA

                                      Going to MOTAT

Room 7 and rooms 10, 9, went to MOTAT. First We all went to the hall and we got ready to get on the bus. we had to get into different groups. there were two bus waiting for us at the gate. Then we hopped into the bus and went off. When we got there we met our instructor at the front of MOTAT gate. After we went to our meeting place to have our morning
tea and the instructor talk to us about what we were aloud to touch and not.

When the the instructor told us everything we went in to our groups. When we got into our groups we went to see all the olden day cars and other transport in the old days. After we went to the mere maze but before we went there  we went to see the second fire engine ever made it looked like a olden day car but red and a hose on it and then we went to the mere maze.

Then it was our turn to go on the tram it was so fun it felt like we were on the road because I couldn't see the tracks for the tram.
When we stopped we the tram driver talked about the tram and the tram was made in 1914.

Then it was lunch time and we went to the meeting place to have our lunch then the instructor took us to the room where we could learn how
the soldiers could communicate with the base to get help and writer lettres to their family. The room was so cool and some of the things where real life.

After we finished we had to go back to our meeting place to go home  but we went in the black train it was so cool and scary because when
I went up the train they were too much people inside and when I went down it was scary too but cool then we went back to the meeting place and went home in the bus.

My best part was when I saw the big black train and the mere maze it was so cool and fun cause it was my first time completing the mere maze and I enjoyed it. I saw  the second fire engine it was cool
and it was cool to see lots of olden day cars and other transport.

Basketball Recount

                      Basketball Recount
WALT:Write using details to add interest.

Today Tuesday 5 May 2015 we went to basketball at 10:20 on the court, Coach Chanel said to us our warm up was ball handling skills we had to put the ball around our legs and around our body. Then coach said we got to find partners. When we all got into partners we played dribble tag we had to get with our old partner with and one of us had to dribble tag us but he was only aloud to tag his own partner and one of the rule was to only aloud to walk fast not run.

Then we played another game and it was called ship sharp shark. The game was to the people with a ball was to stand in the middle and and when she said shark we coach  had to run any where and when she said ship we had to run and dribble left and when she said shore we had to run and dribble with the ball right and it was a race and if you were last you were out and it was so fun.

After we played another game was octopus coach said who wants to be a tagger and the tagger had to get a ball and dribble the ball and tag the people but they weren't aloud to throw the ball at them because it were hurt them and if got tag you had to stand like a seaweed and try to bend over and tag them but your not aloud to move if you are a seaweed and it was the best game I ever played.

I felt happy to play the 4 games.  It was so fun my favourite game was octopus and ship shore shark those two games were the best to play ever and I learned to do ball handling skills.

Dear Miss Elia,
I would like to nominate my mum Lavender because she is pretty. She loves me and my two brothers and she loves me very much. She does all the stuff that a 1,000 Mums’ can’t do and that is to cook me the best meal in the whole wide world. It’s a delicious Lamb meal.

My mum Lavender feeds me well with healthy lunches and has lovely smooth hair. She likes to share with my two brothers and me and my mum is hard working. When she cooks in the kitchen and at Glenbrae School with the hippy program to teach mums to do hippy and then our mums will teach us children so please please pick my mum Miss Eila.

Yours sincerely,
