Kick Start: What Are We Doing Today?

Kei te Haere au ki te tākaro pā whutupōro

In this activity, I learnt some new words and how to put them in sentences. Something that I had found fun was making up my own sentence using the words. At first, it was challenging because I didn't know any of the answers but then I started to listen to the speakers and do some online searching which was really helpful.

  1. Kia Ora Alex,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I enjoyed this activity because I think it is important for everyone to learn and practice their Te Reo Māori. Your slide was very well done and you translated and rearranged the sentences well!

Could you please upload the rest of the slide so I can what you are doing today and also if you wanted to step up your work you could post a video of you reading the sentences in Te Reo Māori.

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates
