Te Iti Kahuranagi This last performance I would rank it 3rd place because it has only one person sing but the good thing is that there are a lot of instrument playing in the background like a flute and guitar.

SLJ Week 1 Day 3 Nine siblings
I would not like to have nine siblings because of these reasons
- If I have a lot of siblings then no chance to get play station.
- It would be hard work for parents and stress them out.
- In a large family it is hard to do what you want.
- My last reason is parents would have no time for all and also for themselves so they would get really tired everyday.

SLJ Day 1 Activity 2 Week 1 : Dear Friend
To: Max
Dear Max I was traveling from my home land to New Zealand on my waka and I would like to tell you about my story. Firstly I was really very scared and nervous to leave my home but I did it. On my way I was really excited and enjoyed because I saw dolphins jumping and flipping. The water was very clear but the tide was very rough but when I were close to New Zealand the tide calmed down. I also did some fishing and I caught lots of tuna and salmon with my fishing net. My favourite part about my trip was fishing seeing the dolphins jumping. You should also try this one day.

language week
This week is Niuean language week and we celebrate a lot of other languages during the year.
Why do we celebrate language week?
We celebrate language so we don’t forget our languages and where we come from. We also celebrate it because it's important to know our language and the history of our families. If we don’t speak our languages they might die out or we might forget them. Then children could forget who they are and what language their parents speak.
So that is why we should always remember our language and know where we come from.

Santa And His Ripped Head
Santa And His Ripped Head
Last week on Sunday, Santa came to my house to play with me. We had lots of fun. Santa came in his sleigh with his 8 reindeers and they were all very friendly.
The first place we visited using santa's sleigh was the candy farm. When we got there we ate lots of chocolate and lollipops and they tasted sweet like honey. When I ate the chocolate it melted in my mouth with joy. Then after eating all those sweets santa got FATTER, His face grew more round, his stomach grew out of his shirt and his pants ripped. I asked him if he was okay and he just replied “Ho Ho Ho”.
Then later on after 10 minutes he said to me “let's go to the mythical creature zoo”.
I told him “there's no place like that!!”
He said “hop into my sleigh and I’ll show you.”
So I said “okay”. On our way I saw lots of lovely pets and animals on the ground.
When we got there he said “let's go see the reindeers”.
I said no “I want to go see the dragons.”
I said no “I want to go see the dragons.”
He said “okay”, so we walked to the dragon cages. The dragons were a bit crazy and acting really funny.
Suddenly, one of the dragons broke out of its cage and flew towards santa. The dragon Grabbed him by the torso and ripped his head off and all the lollies burst out from his stomach.
I got scared and ran to santa's sleigh I didn’t know how to work it so I just leaned over the sleigh and slapped one of the reindeers karate chopped the reinders butt and then it alerted the other reindeers and they flew off freaking out.
I didn't know how to land it so I looked around for a parachute. When I found one under the seat I saw the candy farm and jumped off the sleigh and pulled the parachute.I landed on a big pile of candy. Then finally I ran back home hoping I was not on santa's naughty list for stealing his sleigh.
I had lots of fun with santa, I also got very scared when the dragon ripped of his head.
I recommend this story from 10-25

Police dogs Recount
Today on Tuesday 26 of september, Constable Jude brought a police dog and two police dog handlers to glenbrae school. The police dog was named Kase and the dog handler's were named Colin and Grunt. The dog's breed is a german shepherd.
Colin the dog hadeler talked to us about tracking and how they train their dogs. There dogs go to a special school in wellington and the get kept there until it is 10 months old. When they are 10 weeks old they get flu over to Auckland and dog handlers train them.
After he explained to us about how they trained their dogs Grunt put a dog sleeve and collins let go of the dog and the dog ran after Grunt. It was cool the do dog kept it mouth on him even when Grunt was spin him around.
After that we got to pat the dog and then we went back to class it was a good experience to get up close with a German Shepherd and I had a lot of fun learning about the dog.

Bush Craft
Bush Craft
On the 21st August 2017, Year 7 & 8 students had a wonderful opportunity to do bushcraft at Russell, in the Bay of Island New Zealand with our instructor, named Sarah. This was part of Glenbrae School’s camp.
The first thing we did was, we learned how to tie knots. We learnt the Q and P knot, churkers knot and the double knot. We all practiced until we felt competent with it. After all that hard work we put it to the test. We got a set of tarpaulin, ropes and pegs. First we found two trees to tie our ropes around. We did a churker's knot and then we grabbed the other end of the rope and went under the tarpaulin. When we got to the other side we tied it to the tree. This was helpful for us so we knew how to put up a tent for when we slept in the bush.
Later on, Sarah taught us how to make a fire. She said to gather as much wood as we could and then bring it back. So we did. When we came back we made a small hole in the ground and put some sticks in a cross formation. Then we put a bunch of dead twigs in the middle and then set it alight with matches. We boiled some water in a billy over the fire and it didn't take long.
It was a great experience I had a lot of fun and I would use life skill when I am older.
