On Wednesday 11 May 2016 it was a cloudy and windy morning. My class and I and parents and teachers went to a trip to Arataki. We went in two buses and we were all excited.
When we got there we had to sit on some steps and have our morning tea. After our morning tea, we had to spray our shoes with water because there was a disease killing the Kauri tree.
I was in a different group from my class. First, we went for a walk in the bushes and we saw a lot of trees. There were toilet paper leaves, silver ferns, and the Rimu tree.
After our walk, we went to the visitor’s center. We saw the best view which was amazing, so cool and high. Then it was lunch time. After lunch we went for our bush walk we saw a lot of trees and plants like flax, the Kauri tree, the Nikau tree, and the Rimu tree.
Then our time was up and we had to go back to the bus so we went on the bus and back to school.
