2015 Reflection

This year I did my learning with Mrs Parker in a netbook classroom using Google Drive.

Having a netbook made it easier to do my writing, reading, and my homework.

This year I learned  about jupiter and what's on jupiter.   

I did research on planets and the solar system.

The thing I enjoyed learning about the most was planets  because I like planets. Jupiter is my favorite planet

I still want to learn more about the solar system because I want to know how the solar system works.  

The class trip I enjoyed most this year was to go to the performing art students from Unitec in the city.

I am proud of the way I learn in class and help others  

Next year I am going to learn about chemistry.

Rainbow End trip

On Tuesday 1 of November some of Glenbrae School students went to Rainbow’s End. When we got there all the little kids went with Mrs Adcock and Ms Card and the bigger students went on there own.

Our first ride was the stratosfear but the minimum height you had to be was 150 cm and some of us were tall enough and some were not tall enough. So only some of us went on the stratosfear. When the  stratosfear was finished we went to buy some chips.

After eating all of the chips we went to bumper carts we had to wait in line for a while but finally it was our turn. When I got into the cart at first I did not know how to drive the cart but then I got it, there was a pedal that I did not see. The bumper carts were hard because  everybody came after me. Then we all finished we went to bumper boats

Bumper boats was hard to control but I got it and I got wet pants and shoes after the bumper boats we went to the pirate ship. The pirate ship was like a big swing. It went up and down and it was so much fun I even got butterflies in my tummy. When we were done we went to the invader.

The invader was scary and I was on it. I felt like I was going to fly out in my seat and I was screaming in fear at first but then I got used to it and I was so dizzy when it was over. After the invader we all went to the power surge

Power surge was even scarier because when you were on it you, your seat would get tipped over and it was so scary. I tried to not look but it was to hard not to when they tipped your seat over. After the power surge we went to the log flume.

The log flume was cool. We had to hop into a log that look like a boat and then you would flow with the water and they will take you under a cave and then you would go under another cave. The second cave had christmas decoration and it was wierd. After the log flume we went to the family carts.

Family carts looked cool, but when we got there I was not 150 cm so I had to be a passenger. When it was our turn, it was so fun and it was so cool. When it was over we went to Mrs Adcock and Ms Card and went back to school.

I felt so happy that I went to rainbow end and I want to again some day.    

         

 

   

Whitiakers

Today Thursday 3 December 2015 Rm7 had some chocolate from Whittaker’s the chocolate flavour was hokey pokey. When I  got my chocolate and I felt it it felt hard and firm. Then I took took off the paper and I took a small bite it was crunchy and it was melting on my hands and it was so sweet and delicious. and when I put the chocolate in my mouth it was even better then when I took a small bite.

Next my class, room 7, ate another chocolate from Whittaker’s. and the flavour was berry biscuit when I felt the chocolate It felt cold and hard but not just hard it was harder then the hokey pokey. When I took a small bite it was crunchy and tangyish because of the berries inside of it. When I took a big bite it was crunchy then sour again. Then when I swallowed the chocolate the the berry got stuck in my teeth and it was yuck.

If I could make my own chocolate I would make white chocolate peanut slab, because I love white chocolate and I love chocolates with peanuts in.             

OMEG tech

 On Saturday 2 some of my class mates went to OMEH tech at the city. We went in a bus. When we got to the city we went into the OMEG place went up stairs to wait then a lady came a told us that we could expolar  and wait for some name tags. when we got a name tags our journey began we got put into groups an and went to our stations my group went to the robotics.


The robotics was programming robots on the computer so they can move and we had to programme the robots to move the robots can move faster then a human robot help a lot of people because humans cannot go somewhere that the cant so they send robots to help.


After the robotics my group went to 3D printing, 3D printing was you make something on the computer and when you are done the prine it out and it comes real ad it is so cool I drew my name and said I am the man we had about only 40 mints each stations. when 40 mini was over and we went to our next station .


Our next station was braking a part compute CD players, in the CD player I found a mooter, laser, and a Manet after that station we had free lunch got the chicken and egg meal that was the best trip and it was so awesome and my favourite station was the robotic because programming it.
